PRESIDENTS UPDATE

The weather has been quite challenging but attendance numbers have been good.
The Searoad Ferries has been finalised with Mary-Anne Kennedy the winner and Denise Spark and Marlene McKinney equal second. Congratulations to the winners and also to all competing in this new player’s competition.
Thank you to Searoad ferries for sponsoring this tournament for the second year.
We held our first social day for the season on a very wet September 9. We had a good attendance with visitors keen to play on these great greens. We all enjoyed the special lunch menu that Andrew organised and the ambience of the bar lounge to spread our wet wings a bit.

Pennant croquet has started on Mondays and will continue till December5.

The Thomas Memorial Tournament will be held on Thursday September 29. This is the main Association Croquet event for this club and attracts many players.

The club is holding a “Come and Try” afternoon on Saturday October 8 starting at 2.00pm.
This is advertised in the Seniors Festival information flyer and booklet.

Club Facilities

Two greens are available on club days for croquet players. Both Association Croquet and Golf Croquet are played here. The official croquet season runs from August to May but this club plays all year.

New Players

We offer a free COME AND TRY one hour session to introduce the game. Contact Gail Stocker 52582270 to arrange a booking. Following on we provide potential members with four coaching sessions in Golf Croquet at a small cost. New members then are mentored with experienced players on club days. Coaching lessons are given also for anyone wishing to start with Association Croquet.
